Dance Conventions Comparison

Both music videos convey dance music conventions in very similar ways. They highlight the male gaze to a large extent. The male gaze in this video depicts women from a masculine point of view. From this view women are objectified for mens pleasure to provoke happy and exciting summer vibes. With bikini and small shorts are typical summer fashion and clothing it is however  With the bright lighting and fast paced imagery to contrast the beat that they both take the audience upon. The videos throughout are as a road trip with the sense of freedom and independence. Dance music brings different cultures and general audiences together provoking the idea with everyone being free to music interpretation and can be enjoyed by anyone as a preference.

within the red lights video shows a narrative of a waitress being captivated within work management regulations to leaving for a free and unexpected life.

Kygo, Miguel- Remind Me to Forget
Like a typical dance song The track presents tropical and commercial sounds throughout. Strarting as a generic track the beat transform into an EDM up beat dance song but features a more toned down approach to its music video. With the story of a ended relationships it tells a story of a male reflecting the past breakup hi lighting the words and song ''Remind Me to Forget''.

However in relation to the Tiesto red lights, The video uses a dark scenery to inflict the emotion felt by the main protagonist. The lyrics used have conflicting meanings in the sense that one is longing for a fallen love but the other is about having fun and discovering feeling.  we are panned round the room which has a dystopian/ distressed feel compared to the road trip used in both videos this one feels very isolated.  in a confined room with old and worn
