Statement Of Intent

The song in which i have decided to study for the coursework assignment has not yet been decided. The song i will choose however will be very up tempo will a lively scenic atmosphere. Similar to that of Avicii iconic videos famous for there very astsetic imagery.

Media Language

For my music genre I'm going stay very close to the codes and convention of current and traditional videos when developing the media language. My video will include a large variety of shots that will capture the fast paced motion of the up tempo beat. At the beginning of the video i will introduce the bands name in order to showcase who's song it as a roll in credit to build a reputation and iconic introduction that could potentially carry over to others. Along with the text i will also have the logo which i will create later on in the process. The video will have a compilation of shots edited to the beat of the song. These shots will include bright strobe lighting for the chorus and gradual build up but a scenic approach for the slow downed verses and bridge.

Media Representation

Codes and conventions of traditional dancce music portray youths partying and having a sense of freedom when enjoying the techno sounds of the music. Because of this the type of music video will be aimed at a young audience around the ages of 16-22 both male and female. The target audience will be introduced to a very happy and vibrant lifestyle or event (Not completely decided)
