Statement of intent

The brand I Intend to create will reinforce fair-trade ethics in order to attract  a younger target audience within the fashion segment of the market. the ideology i have is to inform the younger generation getting them involved in contributing to the wider cause. The whole point of the product i will be developing will incorporate fair-trade standards to make a public statement ''trades to accommodate all'' to help those in need of financial support in less fortunate countries.  My intention is to present Fair Trade in urban and casual clothing to the world in order to showcase my brand using clothing which are currently "on trend" in the fashion industry. I will be entering  the market with high end quality luxury clothing in order to entice the younger customer base. BY targeting my customer base at at youths they are more likely to buy clothing at a high price selling more clothes resulting in a high revenue to give back to those who made producing the product resulting in my products standing out against competitiors products  My product will include two billboard posters advertising my Fair Trade Clothing Company.

Ethics Behind Fashion

Fair Trade Fashion’s clothing ranges are ethically source and Fair Trade Fashion has specified that this must be a key part of the campaign in addition to ‘selling’ the clothes themselves.

Ethics is a system based upon morale principles in affecting how people make decisions. Ethics is concerned with what exactly is good

Marketing Fashion

A business such as H&M use celebrity endorsements in their campaign strategy to entice its customers into gaining awareness or purchasing the product advertised. this strategy consists of using a globally known individuals (celebrities) social status or fame in order to increase into larger sales. Often followers of a certain celebrity like to see a familiar face wknow to a vast majority of the population. pople often aspire to become a celebrity or imitate behaviour and fashion. so when a celebrity weras the barands clothes in public people will adopt the style as their own. This consists of buying the product.

what we can tell from this poster is its particularly aimed at a male audience seeking affordable and low priced goods. From the poster its apparent that they are promoting their underwear range. To tighten up the products quality and awareness they have used an icon person such as David Beckham whilst also presenting a price to show affordability. Using a black and white image in order to showcase a leak and smooth lighting effect.

FAIRTRADE

Fairtrade is a system provided in order to make a difference to those who receive the most little when producing the raw product we love and use. The system changes the way in which trade works with better prices and well maintained working conditions to give those farmers and workers more money to enjoy and secure and sustainable livelihoods in developing countries.

All products are independently checked to ensure all standards are met by farmers and workers. This reassures consumers that this has happened. They license the use of the Fair-trade mark on products and packaging to show this. once all the ingredients that can be Fair-trade in a product are the product carries this mark.

There are over 1.65 million farmers and workers in 1,226 producer organisations across the Fairtrade system.

Fairtrade is a movement to make change the perception pf produce trade whilst also making a difference to those of the lives growing the products we buy/use consume in our daily live. Fair-trade works directly with businesses, consumers and campaigns to make trade deliver to farmers and workers.
Fairtrade supports farmers producing and workers producing products such as:
  • Bananas
  • chocolate
  • Gold
  • Beauty products
  • Coffee
  • Cotton
  • Flowers
  • Sugar
